hi Nate,Thanks for sharing your experience.I wonder... how much money you ended up investing on your van (vehicle+conversion)?
8.4 on the van, a bit over 4 on the build (£)
Great job!Can you share the total cost of the project?
Fit it was a bit over £4k
Yes very good job! also interested in the total cost of the project.
How did you anchor your hangers for the hammock?
They are bolted (super tight stainless bolts - self locking nuts) to the metal ducting on the van.
Hey! Great job btw, was looking into doing something like this myself and was wondering around about how much the total cost was for the van + materials
Van was UK£8.4k (Inc vat) and £4.3k ish on the build.
Great job! Love the stealth exterior look, and all the natural materials you used inside. My boyfriend and I are planning to do a van conversion—we will definitely be referring back to this blog. Thank you! ~ Diana
Cool! Sorry for slow reply! That sounds great - good luck with the conversion!!
Congrats from Brazil!I have dreamed to do something like this for years... I hope one day I will!Take care and enjoy your trips!
Hey, nice work can you do this conversion for someone if needed and how much?
I could.. but the reality is that its 250 hours work - because its all custom and using good materials - and no prefabricated units. On that basis the cost of time alone (say £10k?) would be fairly significant! That said, maybe compared to the commercial £40k T5s it would still end up as good value for money.. :D
Hi there. Great job on the conversion. Looking forward to more videos of your travels in the van. In my opinion the only thing the van needs now is an awesome paint job. Any plans of painting the exterior?
No plans on the exterior - trying to make it look stealthy :)
Hi we really like your ideas were gonna buy your book was wondering what van did u use millage age and cost and what van it was
Hi,I've bought the eBook; it's great thanks! My only problem is that while I can view it on the Gumroad app I haven't received my PDF by email yet and I was wondering if I've missed a part of the process. Can you help?KR,Alex.
Hi Nate, I too am now a loyal and have purchased the very helpful ebook. I am picking up my van on wednesday. super excited!!! i have come across an early stumbling block regarding insurance. It seems that i will have to take out temporary insurance of a commercial van then when the fittest is completed take out a new policy for a motorhome/campervan. did you have a similar issue? If so please advise on what you did. Also do you have any advice on who to use for european breakdown cover and insurance. Many thanks and keep up the great work!!
Quick question... I have watched your van conversion video and didn't seem to notice a fridge... do you have one? What do you do for cold things? My partner and I are starting to plan our van conversion and a looking to get as many hot tips as possible!
Also, how did you find driving a right-hand drive car in Europe? Did you have any difficulties?
